The Little Gold Grammar Book was written in follow-up to The Little Red Writing Book. As originally published in 2004,The Little Red Writing Book contained very light coverage of grammar. It order to provide a more comprehensive coverage of grammar, the "little gold" book was born.

The Little Gold Grammar Book is the perfect complement to The Little Red Writing Book. Whereas The Little Red Writing Book is based on writing principles (which are deemed better or worse, more effective or less effective), The Little Gold Grammar Book is based on grammar rules (which are deemed right or wrong, correct or incorrect). Any individual who completes both books should have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of expository writing.
